Is this legit?

Torx screws and lanyard style are consistent with the fakes. As well as the bootleggers' new take on the insingo. CRK also never printed the blade steel right on the blade like that.
Did they ever make the 25 with insingo blade?

It was a nice enough knife especially if the steel was actually s35vn. Good bearings, no blade play and the grind was decent enough. The frame halves had to be titanium alloy, the liner lock was too stout to be aluminum and too light to be steel. If it didnt have the fake CR markings I probably would pay a decent price for it, not too far off one of the numerous nice European equivalent lockbacks in the $150 to $200 range. Goddamn these con artists.

That's crazy. Didn't know they were getting that close. the jimping on the blade sits high and flat off the back not curved.

Two threads this week where someone got stuck with a fake from a physical store. With CRK's explosion in popularity the last two years or so you can probably expect to see this more often now.

Surprised so many of these clones use such obvious fake hardware. Would expect it to be one of the easiest things to copy. Though it does remind me of a very old thread where people were complaining about the screws, and Chris responded with a challenge for anyone to be able to find a source for higher quality hardware anywhere. Obviously there were no takers

What were they complaining about? I've never had a problem with CRK screws. And I take mine apart fairly often.

I accidentally stripped one in a 21. I think I didn't first seat the wrench properly. Oh well, needed a spa day anyway. Much better than another maker of the "holy trinity" that specifically won't help with a stripped screw.
