Is this normal? Cold Steel Counter Point 2

Hi guys, I just received this new knife today. Long story short, its lock bar is missing a piece. I have a few Cold Steel knives and none of them has this on their lock bars. Just wondering if this is normal on Counter Point 2. Thanks people.

uuuuuuummmmmm dont thinks so.......... but Im not a CS expert, that maybe a something they did for that particular knife... may want to contact them and send them a pick to see whats up

I've read a couple reviews of these at CS's own forums and never heard anyone mention this. I can't see any reason why it would be that way either. I'd say it's a defect, though I can't be 100% sure. I'd contact the seller first. If you don't get satisfaction, then you might wanna get in touch directly with CS. CALL their customer service number on their site, rather than using email. Once you've talked to someone, you can then arrange to email pics if they want to see them. They'll probably just have you send it back in sight unseen, but you never know.

Just in case you're worried about the functionality of the knife, that's not a high stress part of the Tri-Ad lock, so it's pretty much a cosmetic problem only. I wouldn't worry about it unless it's a collector's piece.
