Is this normal for a Swiss Tool ?

Hi folks,

I just ordered a Swisstool spirit X for my fishing box, I didn't know much about MultiTools so I did a little research and it seems like Swisstool has a good reputation of good fit and finish, but mine actually arrived like this:

I didn't put any force on the handles, and you can see that they don't line up at all in the closed position, also I found that the stamp (logo) on the pliers is missing on the one that I received:

I watched some revies on youtube and they all have the logo on the pliers, so I'm kinda wondering is this normal for this brand, or did I get a factory second? would it be appropriate to ask for an exchange?

they dropped the stamp on the later verisons, not sure which year, but I have one with it and one without. Both my handles are uneven like yours too, it bugged me at first but the tools operates fine so I stopped worrying about it.

thanks for the reply, it really bugs me too, I've had some SAK knives before and their fit and finish were really impressive, maybe their multitools are just different...
 
I just checked my 4 SwissTools, 2 of them are Spirit models and the handles of those Spirits are not ligned up as well. Not as much as yours, just a little bit. I've never noticed it before actually.
 
maybe its a spirit thing? my SwissTool lines up perfect. if it bugs you, call or email victorinox and see what they say? I wonder if they could be made for some sort of offset? kinda like how stockman blades seem a bit bent or asymmetrical?
 
I work at Victorinox in The Netherlands. It should not be lined up like that.
Victorinox has a life time warrenty. You can go back and ask if they can replace it. I eoulf in oure store.

Just checked mine as well (Spirit X) lines up straight.

I'd ask for a replacement. Hope it all works out for you.
