Is this normal? (GEC knife gap)

I've got a 2013 model 15 TC sheepsfoot two blade that has been carried more than it has been used (and it hasn't been carried a lot- just starting to get a slight patina on the blade). I just noticed that it has a slight gap between liner and the back spring on the main blade side. The gap runs from just below the pivot pin to about the center pin on the handle. It isn't too bad- just barely fits a sheet of thin paper.
Is this normal? Haven't seen this on other slip joints. Even some hard use ones. Isn't overly noticeable yet but...

Not normal for GEC in my experience. I have had Queen and S&M with lots of gap, but never in GEC.

Slight gaps are not uncommon with production slipjoints, a few of my GEC's have them. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

GEC's are not 100% perfect - they're more like 99.875% perfect, which is pretty darn good for production knives at their price points.

Btw, got a pic?
