I have the HB Forge medium hawk and it's been great. I have made a point of using it for slicing through some vegetables (squash, pumpkins, potatoes and such) as well to get a patina over time. However, lately I noticed the blade has developed these little micro cracks. It's only there, nowhere else on the hawk. Is that something that can be normal with wear over time?

A photo hosting place if there are any left that don't suck. I recently started using google pics with a little browser add on thing that creates the image code.

In any case I wouldn't think cracks would be considered normal, but yeah pics would help I imagine.

Here is some info on how to post pictures:

The absolute simplest method I've found is to create a free account on imgur.com, upload your photos (preferably on the "hidden" setting), then post a link to the photos in your thread (literally just the url at the top of your browser).

Or, once you upload a photo to imgur you can click on a tab in the top right corner of the photo that provides you with a list of "share links." Copy the link labelled "bbcode", paste the bbcode in your thread and the pictures magically appear once you post your reply.

If you download the imgur app you can upload photos to imgur directly from your phone then follow the same steps I mentioned above. The bbcodes do not always work well from my phone but your mileage may vary. Buena suerte.
