Is this normal on a delica?

Well I was taking apart my delica 4 waved and noticed this gap between the blade and the lock bar. Is this normal or is something wrong? Also don't know if this is in the right thread feel free to move it if needed.

It's normal. The spaces allow for wear on the mating surfaces.
