Is This Really A Buck 110 Box?

The photo below is not my photo. I posted it to show the box in question.
I have seen a number of Buck 110s for sale that have a short box like the one shown.
My question is...are these short boxes really used by Buck for packaging some of their 110s?
Mine have always come in the longer boxes that are 10" long. This box looks to be about 6" or 7" long.

I bought a Buck 110 (2015 date mark) in a pasteboard box just like that at a Wal-Mart store a couple of months ago. A 50th Anniversary Buck 110 I bought at a local gunshop last year (about January) came in the longer box you describe. OH

I got one recently still in box. End has 0110BRSWM-B dated 12/2/15. Wally World

The front 6" box contains a counterfit Buck 110 that I purchased directly from China so provenance is known. Ignoring my own labels note the real 110 box bar code. My experience is the same as Marks, all my recent 110 purchases came in longer boxes but admittedly I have not picked up one from WalMart recently. At a gun show late last year there was a guy selling the 110 counterfit switchblades as we as a few legitimate 110's. He had some of the boxes mixed. If the WalMart 110's come in shorter boxes, I guess we know where the Chinese counterfiters shop for their knives to copy...... :D :D WalMart has over 400 stores in China with plans for more.

Boxes must be available from some source. I see a lot of 2 dots and older Buck knives trolling the bay that have the current design Buck box included(never paid attention to length). Always wonder where the get the boxes from.

From what I have bought the shorter boxes are the 110 with nylon sheath snapped closed. And the longer boxes are the 110's with leather sheath unsnapped. Thus needing more room.

A 110 from Walmart in a box will have an orange sticker with a black number on the end opposite the American flag.

Nothing definitive yet. My wally world has clam packs only, but that doesn't mean the 6" boxes aren't available at some locations.
I have bought lots of 110s with the nylon sheaths and they all came in the larger 10" box.

Hopefully someone from Buck will show up here someday and give us the answer.

400 wallywords in China - unbelievable, wonder if they sold the made in usa 877 xmas knife?

Walmart in China is a far cry from Walmart in the US. They don't sell knives, in fact I'm almost positive knives are illegal to carry/own in China.

I once had to ship some American-made knives to a building in Shanghai so that one of my leaders could review them as part of an overall plan that he was working on while there. The knives got held up at Chinese customs for three weeks and missed the meeting. Even shipping knives from one factory to the other is nearly impossible. The only direction they move effectively is from factory to port.

I agree, got a knife from my coworkers when I retired, a build your own 110 with nylon sheath and it came in a short box.

8.5 inch box contained red Paperstone 110 & nylon sheath, 0110RDS1-B, cat 3289. I bot 2 of these, production dates: 12 14 2011 and 09 22 2012. Snaps were opened on both. Paperwork was missing from one box. Both knives had washered pivot pins. 3rd box in background is regular sized 110 box for comparison.

Chinese box material feels like it is made of soggy oatmeal. Built to a standard of strength just strong enough to last a short while. Rigidity is not a requirement.

I bought the 110 in the small from WM in CA...
The 110 in the Big box was a gift from
VoVillia and I think he got it on line from
the Big River...
