Hi, I just need some opinion from u wise guys.

I have number of partial Serr. tac blades. Over time sharpen and use. Most of pointy teeth are either broken, rounded off......etc.

Does that means the serration will become useless for this blade? The end will turn into partial useless blades?

I would say that you bought the knife partially useless, as I have no use for serrated edges. If the teeth completely wore off, then the serrated portion would be a plain egde. If you consider the plain portion useless, then no, the knife will not become partially useless, it will be totally useless.

I am a fan of Part serrations. I work with a lot of rope, as well as stripping a lot of wire. I generally carry two or more knives, 1 plain, 1 part serr. depending on the knife (blade steal and quality) you can re-create the serrations with some file and stone work. You can also sharpen the blade on the "back" side of the serrations and gain more service life from the blade.

Many manufactures will replace a blade for a fee if you send the knife back to them. Good Luck!

the reasons the seratiosn work is becasue of the extra area and the multiple angles given by the curve. useless? no, less efficent? some

by the time ou sharpen it down so there is no serations left, probably time to get a new knife ;)
