Is this something I should claim for warranty from Ka-Bar?

So the line that I've drawn in red on my BK9 below is not strait as it should be. Below it is how it appears on my knife in a impromptu sketch on paint.

I hope you get the idea as to what I'm trying to depict. To add to that, the tip is slightly leaning toward the left when looking down on the knife.

Is this usual for this knife? Should I make a claim with the Ka-Bar warranty? Or is it nothing that Ka-Bar would care about?

Sorry if this is in the wrong section, I didn't know whether it would go in the Ka-bar forum or the Becker so I just went here. Excuse the noob.

I'm not sure what you are getting at with the red lines, but if the spine is not completely straight to the tip I would send it back for sure.

The spine is strait, it's the line below it (the flat part before it slopes down to the edge) that isn't strait.

I changed the colours to try and be more clear.

Everything and anything anyone says here is pure speculation. I would snap some pictures and contact Ka-Bar with a description of the issue. I don't have experience with Ka-Bar warranty but IMO they'll make things right for you.

Well, if the grind line is really that wavy then, yes, that sucks. Will it actually affect the performance of the knife, no. If it really bothers you, then contact Ka-Bar, they will make it right.

It is a value for money working knife. It cuts, chops, will baton through nicely. Are you intending to keep it on display? For a working knife the slight grind 'fault' will not make any difference for performance

If the grind line is just a little wavy, I wouldn't personally send it in, as long as it came to a reasonable edge. Which I'm sure it does. However I'm having trouble with this part of what you said:

Are you looking DOWN on the knife like this?

(first image I could find on google)

If, when looking down directly at the spine like this, the tip ends up curving at all, then I would absolutely send it back. This will hinder sharpening. As well as be a potential weak point because if it was bent like that it could be a heat treat problem, or be a sign of some other damage which caused it to bend, meaning it's easier to fail.

Yea like that. I suppose I should file that claim.......... How do I do that?
