Is This Spyderco A Fake?

I picked this one up off an Internet site recently. The box says it's Model # C109 but I have my doubts it's the real deal. Anyone care to shed any light on this?

Yep it's fake.

That's a fake Spyderco. The real knife that model number matches up with is the Spyderco "S" (see image below).

The pivot is also wrong for the Poliwog, and the Poliwog did not come with a pouch. I'm afraid you've been had.

Thanks fellows. I was pretty sure it was a Chinese knock off. I didn't pay a lot for it so I don't feel burned. I think the seller was under the impression that it was an original Spyderco.

I really, really doubt that. The Poliwog is discontinued. There is (as of the time I'm writing this) one on ebay with 24 bids at $202. If he had a real one, he would have researched it and charged you way more than whatever it is he charged you.
