Is this the New or Old JYD II CP?

I see that there are 2 models of the JYD II CP and i don't know which is which... my googlefoo is not up to the task

Is the pic below the new or old? And what is the difference between them?

the scales look different too... is there much difference or is it just the picture?

on a slightly divergent note, does anyone know of any custom scales for the JYD?
 
Ya the picture above looks like it has a bigger/thicker hatch pattern on the G-10, but I think its just the picture, I don't think they changed it.

The older composite blade JYD had round little balls instead of the wave pattern on the newer one, shown above, same D-2/Sandvick composite blade materials.
 
incaorchid got it. The bottom is the JYD II 2.2 and is the newer one, the top one is the JYD II. I like the contrast look of the steels on the II a bit better than the 2.2. Is the 2.2 bead blasted also?

I hate to say this but look on the big auction site and search for "KryptoGlow" (or google search for his website). Dan makes glow in the dark scales. I know he has made them for the JYD.

actually, it's just a personally motto.. i'm EXTREMELY paranoid, so i always have pretty much every possible scenario planned for.
