I've seen a few dealers make posts on Facebook that the 2014 Shot Show Benchmade is a Mini Barrage. Specifically the 586-1401. Black aluminum and green/black G-10 Here's a picture that is on another site.

I'm not amazingly impressed. I mean, it looks nice and might be a slight aesthetic improvement on the normal 586, but it's not an upgraded knife at all.

What do you guys think?

EDIT: After looking at it, the color scheme is strongly reminiscent of the Rukus/Mini-Rukus.

That's interesting, but aside from the color it's no different from the 586. Unless I'm missing something.

It looks nice and only $21 more than a regular 586. However, it's $65 more than the one I got in November prior to the new MAP enforcement policy!

I like it, but I think for the SHOT Show knife, the 484 or the 940-1, would have been a better choice for grabbing peoples attention

I like the black bolster, looks nice. I'm just not super enthusiastic about multicolored G10. I mean I don't mind it, but it would not be my first choice.

I'm not really a fan of assisted knives either. The color scheme is kinda blah.
I own a few of their knives and the ones I have I love.
I wonder if they are having problems over there. Price policy changing/hiking up the prices of their knives. Not really much going on in the way of new knives. Seems like lately their new knives are old knives with different g10. That's cool for people but as a company you should be doing more than a new paint job on an old car.
