This my first post here on this part of the forums. I just finished making a small brute knife and Chris Montgomery told me I should post it here. It's nothing to write home about but its a different style for me and I've been working on my weird ideas. :) It's forged from 5160. The handle is bronze, N/S, and Ironwood. The cutting edge is 3 inches. Thanks

That is a very elegant bit of work! Definitely posted in the right place, well done and welcome to the traditionals corner :)

Very nice, Lin! That looks like a fine little knife.

Thanks for posting this one here, Lin. I am always amazed at your forging and I felt like the gents here would appreciate it also. I really like the way you forged the taper in the tang and blended it with the "pig tail". Very nicely done.

I actually really like this. Digging the textured looking flats and wood choice. The classic leather fob is a nice touch as well. I am assuming you went with a brown leather sheath option? Also, is the choil jimped? Hard to tell from the picture provided. Anyways, nice work.

Thanks guys.

I will go with a brown pouch style sheath. The finger area is not jimped, but is hammered kind of smooth.

Great looking blade. Very well thought out pattern and combination of materials.

Please share more as you complete them!

Really nice, Lin. Bowies are pretty traditional too, so don't be bashful about posting some of them here as well.
Not everyone here visits your other home in Customs.

A fixed blade hunting knife with natural handles? Heck yeah, that's traditional.
The design looks quite functional as well, perfect for meandering the Arkansas forests.
