I need to know if this true and not a knockoff from overseas. Im looking to purchase a BK & T Rienhardt Kukri, but the blade does not list the maker of the knife. The Seller states " A vintage Becker Knife and Tool Reinhardt Kukri sheath knife. I believe this knife dates to the early 1990s and that it was made in the Effingham, IL factory. What’s interesting about this vintage production Kukri is that it is completely unmarked. I read online that this knife was left unmarked because the manufacturer could not figure out how to mark these early knives due to their painted satin blade finish. I also read that the handles had to be hand fitted to each knife due to a variable shrink rate of the resin. I don’t know the accuracy of this information but there is definitely evidence that the handles on this particular example were hand ground so that they sit flush with tang."

I attached two pics, one is the original box (did theu come this way, I know the box looks correct, but dont know what the label looked like on the box. The 2nd pic is the knife and leather sheath. I just want to know if this Reinhardt Kukri BK & T knife. I have most the original BKs and want to add this to my collection. Thanks.

Nice one Skystorm, I like your humor, good luck, afterwards I can always send you a pic of it.

Thanks for the thread, I knew I read that here, but of course senility is happening early, thank you for the answer, I could not find that post when I search for it over the weekend. Appreciated very much.

I sincerely hope someone here got it. Unfortunately, the knife I was selling to fund it didn't sell, so I couldn't go any higher.
