I wanted to ask when trying to moisturize our wooden handle khukris and leather sheaths I wanted to know how viable an option was using pledge furniture polish? I was thinking if it is supposed to work for wooden furniture and leather couches it should work for handles and sheaths too. Am I faulty in this thinking or is this okay

jamaljahda, mink or neatsfoot oil for the leather. Mineral, tung or boiled linseed oil for the wood. Although mineral oil will do it for both if you want 1 stop shopping its also good on the steel. Pledge may work but mineral oil is cheaper and will work YMMV.

Furniture polish is just that....furniture polish. It is meant for weekly use on already preserved wood that sits in more or less climate controlled areas. It is not recommended for use on khukuris for that reason. Plus, it contains scents that i'd rather not have on my khukuri. You are far better off using the recommended treatments as they will fare better in the long term of hard usage in non climate controlled places.

Thanks for bringing up Rusty's Kama Sutra oil again Berk. It had flashed in my mind a few days ago and now here it is again. Kinda hard for me to find the clove oil though.

Also, Obenaufs could be used for both leather and wood. It is an all natural paste for leather reconditioning and protection with beeswax and propolis as the base and won't rot the stitching. I know it works good on leather but haven't tried it for wood yet.
