Anyone been using one of these bad boys? Not a whole lot of info out there, and it's kind of a wild looking design, so I'm not surprised.

Any input appreciate.

looks like a very nice small minimalist design with good ergos... but I don't own one, as my leek is holding that position
If I was looking to upgrade, this would be on a shortlist

You think that thing looks like it has good ergo's?!? Looks like the least comfortable handle, maybe ever. The large curve terminating in a point right at the middle finger looks about as uninviting a hand as I've seen.

The blade shape is pretty cool, but that handle may as well have barbed wire on it for as much as I'd want to be hanging onto it.

I have two, one in titanium one carbon fiber, I love em and carry an use all the time, they look odd but feel fine in hand.

My first thought on seeing it is exactly what TR stated. I love the blade shape but that handle does not look comfortable. Granted, never actually held one.

Way back when , I thought that Spyderco knives were the most weird and stupid looking I'd ever seen . But then I got hold of a Police Model 1st gen . Carried that baby for many years and bought very many more Spyderco thereafter . ;)

Ive found that Ishams designs feel very comfortable in reverse grip. That being said, i dont own any. I have no need for reverse grip.

Of the roughly 200 knives I've owned the Abstruse may be my favorite.
It's a simple, lightweight design with comfortable ergos and a great front-flipper.
I have both the Titanium and the CF models and love them both.
If you're a front-flipper fan and can't afford or find a Shamwari you may like the Abstruse even more.
I do -- and I have two Shamwari.
