I had no idea that these were limited run and figured I could pick one up anytime. Now I have a black G10 version on its way to me.

So not actually a slip joint. That makes sense. More like a "liner detent against opening and closing."

I'm curious about this as well. On paper they look like something I would very much like.

Why do you think that this adds anything to the discussion? How can a comment like that be of any worth when you don't provide the rest of us with any arguments as to why you thought it was "horrible"?
