Here is my Foxy Folly, isn't she super hot?? I LOVE IT..........

Picked it up from my way home today, before I got home I jumped out of the truck in my driveway and gave this tree a once over( its been brushing up against my truck everyday for months).. Man this thing is a beast, its like yielding a hatchet with a blade as long as the handle:D

Shes super hot, and I'm in love... What can I say??

Anyone have a similar set up w/ sheath, how do you secure the knives? I'm afraid if I pack this out on my Kelty Redwing I'll end up loosing the little knife or God Forbid both!! I need to find a way to secure the machete better even if just for safety while hiking..

EDIT: oops forgot to add pics of the sheath and knives..

Nice Foxy, you have enough steer out there whack one and make a new sheath:p Oh well I'm going to spend some quality time with my Khuk's on the new wood pile so they don't see my eye wandering.
Just saw the original sale thread when heinlein linked to it. There is no "easy" way to add retention to those sheaths. Scratch that! You might be able to add a loop and snap for the Foxy and have it tight enough to "grab" the handle ring if it isn't very tight and the blade drops down to the loop you add it will shear it clean off:eek: The secondary knife:D here's a cute way to solve that one (learned it making a Blackberry case), glue, epoxy, whatever a magnet inside that little pocket area. The magnet will retain that small of a blade like magic. I'd use a very small rare earth or neodymium magnet the blade won't go anywhere unless the magnet separates from the sheath with it. So glue and stitch early and often.

One more thought back the handle loop with rubber, neoprene or the goofy knobby no-skid shelf stuff to git it a better grip on the wood than raw leather and you won't have to be as exact with the cut.
If you want shoot a picture of the Foxy in the sheath with a ruler starting at the top of the sheath. Then drop the sheath only into a flat rate box to me. Give me about a week and I will send it back with both changes made on my dime.

I've glued a short length of leather or paracord on the spine edge of the inside of the scabbard for a tight fit. I can't abide a loose blade/sheath as its unsafe.

Edit: Oh forgot Foxy Folly has a sheath rather than a scabbard, but method will still work.
