Well it just didn't seem right leaving the micarta in it's natural state sitting in Nick's leather so I got out the crayons and sprused her up a bit. Also added some brass hardware to finish it off. Looks soooo much sexier now don't yinz think?

She's beeeeaaauuuutttiiifffuuulllll!!!!!! I really like that brass hardware. I just dropped my BK10 off at my leather guys shop the other day, He does a lot of high end work on private jets and boats, so it might take a couple of weeks but I will post pics when I get it.

How did you finish those scales, they look amazing and the brass really looks classy. As for Nix leather...the best out there without a doubt. Got to see it in person last weekend, the pictures don't do them justice. Kind of a cool guy too...some people just have it all...

Lol... I was waiting for someone to ask that. Little trick I've learned doing wood carvings so I decided to give it a try on the scales. Only took me ten minutes from the time I took off the scales to when I put them back on. You ready??? Lol.... Brown shoe polish. Rub it on, wipe it off then buff to a nice sheen. The pigment gives a nice stained finish and the wax gives some protective qualities. I've been using it on walking sticks for some time and have yet to have an issue. Thanks for the compliments all!

Latest commissioned stick... finished with shoe polish.
