Delica 4 Stainless Steel, I just love it. My first Spydie as well (okay that's half true, ordered this with a Bow River, which is also just sublime and my new number one kitchen knife).

Anyone else got one of these?

Cheers!

Where they really shine is the thinness in the pocket. So easy to carry. If I could only have one pocket knife for good and all, it would be a stainless Police model. PE preferred!

I had a stainless Delica that I really didn't like as much as the Police, and I love the lightweight Delica in all its variants. It was SE, and I just never warmed up to it. Which kinda surprised me given my affinity for the Police.

Always hope to see the stainless models in the annual catalog.

OP: Congrats on your 1st Spyderco purchase. I hope you continue to enjoy it.

However, FYI, Spyderco has made stainless steel scaled knives from the beginning, starting w/the Worker (C01) back in 1981.

They have since made many other stainless steel variations of other models. There's literally something for everyone like this that Spyderco has made.

Two of the oldest are the Police & Native, variations of which I've collected along with others:

So, if you like the S/S Delica that you just bought, if you look around a bit, you may find others that you like even better. ;)

My first "good" pocket knife other than an SAK was a stainless handle Delica. They good knives. Mine endured a fair bit of young and dumb me. Haven't regularly carried it for many years now but I keep it around for the memories.

Wow amazing collection! Cheers for the info too.

This makes me want to go find my older Endura. Pretty sure it's as old as back when AUS6 was still thought to be decent...

Looks great! I know for some people ss scales getting scuffed up is a problem, i think it looks cool, actually looking forward to wearing mine in. How has the back lock held up over time? I tend to close two-handed as the snap back is pretty chunky closing with one hand.
I like the scuffs too. Lot of good memories that go with those marks.
Still opens and closes as smooth as ever. It has developed some lock rock over the years, but I have no issues with it. Nothing that causes any concern.
Enjoy yours. The Delica is a cool looking folder in stainless.

I know for some people ss scales getting scuffed up is a problem . . .

I also have a Gen 2 S/S Police PE "user" (not pictured above) that had scratches & scuffs on it but they were easily buffed out. ☺️

On the other hand, I just bought this Gen 1 S/S Police SE "PIG" variation "user" that I decided not to buff out because it could negatively affect its value:
