Isn't word of mouth amazing?

Seems like everyday there's at least 3 new threads from new ESEE addicts. I haven't seen any ESEE advertising anywhere, so I assume all this action is coming from word of mouth.

Goes to show how a little honesty and a quality product can draw people in.

Other companies should take note (not just knife makers), build a good, quality, US made product and people will pay for it. Not everyone cares about saving a few bucks for Chinese built shit.

I am buying my brother, who is a deer hunter, an ESEE of his choice one my next ones come in. I'm going to lay them out in front of him and let him pick one for me to buy him. I imagine a lot of people like us do similar things.....buying them as gifts for people who wouldn't normally buy themselves a knife........and us, being as we think that EVERYONE needs to carry AT LEAST one knife if not TWO at all times.

yep, I bought one for my brother-in-law and gave one to my buddy for Christmas.

I let a fellow Coastie play with the Junglas and 5, and now he's trying to figure out which one he's getting first.

I've raved about them on one of the largest forums on the internet as well, which I know for a fact resulted in a handful of sales.

Until ESEE, I've never been all that brand loyal, but how can you not share such a good thing with people.

i've noticed a lot of new people getting into ESEE's as well, maybe its the youtube videos :D of my video's ESEE's always do very well in terms of views.

edit: for the heck of it i added up the views of my ESEE videos (about 5-6) 10,719 views combined

lol same with mine. Of my 7 or 8 videos, my newest, a quick review of the Izula-II already has the most views.

although a close second is a video of me getting hammered by...errr...shooting my Marlin .45-70

I'm new here and I got turned on to ESEE by word of mouth from another forum (XDTalk.com). I just got the ESEE-4 CP and an Izula. I think I'll be going with a 5 or a 6 next. I will have a full collection eventually.

It's simple really--if you're savoy at all, you'll see that for the price/quality ratio, you just can't beat ESEE. Their warranty is the best in the world. And, it's run by good people who actually give a damn about their customers. You really do feel part of a family. Word of mouth from all us "experts", hehe, definitely helps to spread the word...but if the product couldn't stand on it's own, the word of mouth would kill it.

Yeah, I heard of ESEE around here, but it took me a long time to be interested. I think the first thing that piqued my interest was hearing about the warranty that they offer. I was never all that impressed by the aesthetics of the knives, but the warranty made me think, "Well, they must be pretty good," and then I was just blown away by the price.

I like those little business cards that they have because of that. Whenever someone wants to see my Izula, or I'm talking about it, if I think they're the kind of person that is going to want to buy one I can give them the card, tell them about the warranty, etc.

Most people I know find them most impressive because of the warranty. I haven't actually hooked anyone up with one yet, but I assume that falling in love with the quality comes second.

yep, this thread did it for me! :)

cant wait to get some more money so I can FEED my addiction

A good business model, make good stuff, call your customers idiots, talk about drinking tequila, chasing women, actually say what you mean and mean what you say.

Basically, be the complete opposite of every other company out there, and stand proud of yourself, product, and country.

Rock on ESEE, we will do the same.

Haven't been here long but it seems like there always at least two "new ESEE" threads a day since Xmas. Good to see American, honest business thriving solely on word of mouth. We reward them with our money, and if more companies did things ESEE's way (there's at least one i can think of that's close) then everyone would probably be happier.

Same story for me as well... I got hooked on ESEE knifes by several YouTube vids and decided to order my RC-4 afterwards. Unpatiently waiting those 3weeks that felt like forever I've been stunned by the quality, feeling and performance of the knife!

Now, with a little more practise with it and quite some work in our last backpacking holiday in the region of Hedmark, Norway, I am sure to have picked the right knife for me. Thinking about some modifications of the sheath I found this forum and had to see that the first impressions of the knife seem to fit perfectly to the company behind it and their family aka community here. No wonder the good word of mouth spreads a lot!
Personally I got my girlfriend into the whole knife-thing by showing her the pink Izzy and after some pics she couldnt resist any longer  So there will be two more ESEE knifes for ourselves incoming very soon:thumbup: Despite that a close friend of us is planning to go on a backpqcking trip to south america(peru, brazil,...) and we think about giving her a good reliable blade for the tripas gift. So I think another Izzy is going to make its way over here, she hasnt been in contact to those tools much yet so anything bigger might be too much for now ;)

Making a long story short: keep up the good work Jeff, Mike, the ShottyFamily and all those great people around you! The word of mouth shows that you are doing perfectly right!

I'm being serious here, most people that have some sense about them, get tired of dumbasses getting away with murder. Its very refreshing to see someone call it like they see and stick to their guns. If I called one of my clients here where I work a dumbass, at the least I would be drug in on the carpet for an ass chewin'. Even though my boss will agree with me, "Yeah, he's dumbass", he is old school in the fact that the customer gets whatever they want, as long as they are paying for it.

Most hard working Americans are tired of stupid shitheads ruling the world because everything is built to the lowest common denominator, which in most cases are the very idiots that shouldn't have a knife in the first place. The world needs less Oprah and more common sense.

Rant done. Download complete.

Moose is right. We call it like we see it because we are tired of the good people being hurt by the dumbasses in this world. If it costs us some busines, SO BE IT. We don't want the idiots in our world and don't want their business. Period. The folks here on this forum are some of the best out there when it comes to having common sense and using it. We appreciate that and that's why we like hanging out here. Other companies and marketing people have told us we are nuts for saying and doing the things we do. That it's totally against good business sense. Oh well. We could give the first shit about college boy business sense or what the "educated business models" say a business should do. We live in the real world. Always have. Always will. We simply treat people the way we expect to be treated. Nothing more.

On one of the gun forums I get on someone will ask for knife advice and probably 6 out of 10 will be ESEE recommendations. Some will say they've never heard of them and after digging around generally buy one.

I was drawn to ESEE knives from the great reviews seen on countless websites and forums. Jeff's ever so warm view on his customers was definitely my final selling point. (See below...)

In all seriousness though, his straight forward attitude is very refreshing. I've worked in sales for the past 20 years and can't tell you how much I'd love to be able to depart this honesty. :) Keep up the good work!

Well, the Jeff Randall White Women and Hamburgers Tour did help to get the word out....

You can find ESEE business cards in every sleezy bar and strip club across the US. Even in South America. I missed the WW&HT, but I got in on the tail end of Tequila and Trucker Hat Madness Tour.
