I am looking for a new sharpening system. I have a KME with diamond stone and it works good. I use it on my CRK Sebenza and several benchmades. I do t like sharpening my wife’s kitchen knives because it takes too long for the quality of knives she has and how she treats them. I am looking for a new system to quickly and consistently sharpen knives. I do enjoy sharpening and may even try making some money on the side with it so I would be willing to spend a bit on a new system. I am looking for some suggestions. I have seen some good things about the Tormek T8. I could also sharpen scissors, lawn mower blades and other tools with that system. That would be good for me around the house and also if I wanted to start a little side job. What other options are there for a quick, repeatable sharpener?

Also, are there other options for wheels to get higher grits than just 1000 from the standard wheel?

Thanks

That uses the full size wheels doesn't it? If so there is the 9µm DE-250 diamond wheel, or the 4000 grit waterstone SJ-250 wheel.
