Yes to all your questions. I carried one in Iraq for a year. My ka-bar was good but, this knife is much stronger.

It's also a better thrower when you're bored. The blade is "blued" rather than coated.
The diameter of the grip is just a little smaller than that of the ka-bar which for me made it far more comfortable.
It takes abaout as good an edge as the ka-bar also.
If you can pick it up for under $100.00 I think you'll really like it.

this knife can be found manufactured by John Nowill & Sons this look to be the authentic....and we can found a discontinued one manufactured by Lewis International...What is stamped on your thebladerunr

Dan L Yes mine has the star of David on it. For some reason that is part of why I got it.

Just thought y'all would wanna know something about this Brit k-bar...
Knives of the IDF
"...The so called Israeli Combat knife may be used in the IDF but as a private purchase item only....."

Though it may have been based upon
the Israeli Use of the US Mk2s
which cause "...Israeli made knives that look like US made items..."

I dont want this knife for the star of David on it,i just love the blade design...I will probably buy a Marble's Ideal from A.G Russel, but the pommel on these knives is very big! I dont know which one i will buy.

I have ond of these with the Star of David stamped on it too, however, in my opinion it is one of the few knives that I can say is A P.O.S..
When I got it, it would not cut anything I had to cut in my shop, and it feels like the Rockwell C must be in the 40's. It files like mild steel and once an edge is formed, it won't stay sharp after cutting 1 piece of cardboard.

I fell sorry for the Isralite solder that is going to have to rely on this hunk-of-junk.

:grumpy::eek:

Ciao
Ron
