Having a thread locked doesn't prohibit feedback from being posted, one of the parties not posting in the sales thread is the only limiter to leaving feedback.

I clicked the feedback icon under the sellers icon in the listing.
Is this appropriate?
If so - I'm getting the same error as described above.

Buyers must post in the thread, or the system will not allow a trader rating to be left. (I know it's not called a trader rating on this platform; but I don't remember the label it uses)
Any post will do: "I'll take it", "Email sent", "Thank you", etc. Since I am unwilling to post in ads, I simply accept that my trader rating isn't going to change.

Just because I am curious, what is your aversion to posting in ads? A simple "I'll take it" is usually all that's required.
