Is there an issue posting pics?

Here is a picture of me editing a post. Editing the post, showing that it looks fine when editing: https://i.ibb.co/hgxmn5W/Screen-Shot-2022-07-13-at-7-28-42-PM.png

The thread is at https://www.bladeforums.com/threads/knife-went-through-dishwasher.1881217/

However, when the thread appeared, the image was X'd out.

It's 1536px wide - is that the issue?

I've used img.bb everywhere else without issues. I won't use Imgur because it's so toxic but I could try a different site, but...really, it's just an IMG SRC so the source shouldn't be an issue since it loads fine in a browser.

Adding to that, I was playing around trying to replicate it and noticed that I quote your post, in the reply box it shows up, but if I click the little preview button in the reply box, it goes back to the red x.

ibb.co is taking too long to respond to the image proxy server so it's not getting cached.

Is there anything that can be done about this? I’m having the same issue. I use imgBB for photo hosting. All my previous posts with photos now show as red x’s.

If their servers are that slow then I'd suggest using Imgur

I could see that being the problem if there was just one external hosting site that wasn’t working, but it’s literally any site (besides Imgur, it seems). I tried posting images hosted on GEC’s, Apple’s and NASA’s websites here, and they all get the red X. How could all their servers (along with all the other image hosting sites that all worked prior to a couple days ago) be too slow? There has to be something else going on here.

It's not a hosting problem, it's a Bladeforums problem, ever since the site had the software upgraded. My photos work on every site except this one. I'm not about to move my photos from one hosting site to another.
