Issue with infraction, want to appeal

I dont know where to go for this, but I got an infraction for "sassin the mods" in a post and I would simply like other mods than the one who infracted me to look at the post, confirm for me that it is sassy , and tell me where I was disrespectful to said mod, then explain to me the ramifications of such an enormous infraction, for clarifying my position; I could find no insults, no sass in my post-- but I may be bias.


If this is the wrong place for this please let me know, I will not name the mod , as it should be an easy thing for other mods to find what post I was infracted for-- please read that post and tell me that it was disrespectful or sassy to the aforementioned mod. ANd if it was not the crime it was claimed to be, is there any way to get this infraction removed?

I am a not so longtime but devoted member of bladeforums, with some admitted politics problems lol-- I just dont know where else to go and the infraction was shockingly large compared to what I understood the problem was.
 
40 permanent points seems excessive for that.
I think this is the only time that I've thought the infraction points were excessive for the given infraction.

I think I would just stay away from that place if you.

yeah I am never going back--there is no doubt, I will lurk and read, but never will I respond or engage they can now continue the echo chamber which I disturbed and I wish I had not. I would like to call attention to the fact that I think the infraction did not meet the crime, thus I request assistance from the forum leaders, tell me what to do-- know I will not return to lose my place on forums I love, I accept that I was given infraction, I am not necessarily disputing that-- but I am disputing the level, and the bias of the mod who delivered it, essentially insulting then giving me a 40 point infraction; I don't know what to believe, as the mod in question just tells me I am breaking rules, when he claimed I was using ad hominem attacks in the thread I called him to-- I did no such thing, I explained my position and defended my beliefs, without reference to another member without attack.


Infraction for asking for civil debate free of bias from the mod. as he started a global warming thread but opened it with a classic attack on the left -- that al gore is a "global warming scammer/ profiteer" I did not feel this was a good way to start debate when it would have been very easy to leave it unposted--yet he felt compelled to immediately handicap the discussion with this comment about al gore.

What does one have to do to get permanent infraction points? Anybody know? I think all mine are ones that will expire. Does it say on the infraction that it is permanent?
 
yes it does say "permanent"---and apparently the way you get them is speaking your mind when a mod disagrees with your philosophy. I have gotten one other infraction "insulting other members" 2013-- 5 points-- expired


this one is "sassin a mod" 2014--40 points--- expires: Never-- I would invite you all to read the post yourselves and see if you consider what I said sassy or combative , as I said, even if I agree I should have been given infraction-- I don't see how 40 permanent points makes any sense in the context of what went on. In the context of my absolute clarity and respect in the post that he gave infraction as "sassing the mod"

kinda goes against the principle of "moderation" if it is to be impartial and fair.


though I cannot figure out how I sassed him other than asking that he be courteous to everyone he wanted to take part in the debate.

mods please respond -- this is an official complaint about one of your mods being impartial and treating me unfairly given the circumstances-- I can accept that any speaking to a mod can be construed as "sassin" but I humbly request that the infraction points be reduced, as I did not insult anyone , all I did was ask for a courteous debate and I was given a 40 point infraction . The mod in question should be either removed from his position or asked to not treat members in such a bias and politically motivated way.

Having mods that do not moderate but put forward their own agenda is not a good way to encourage members to remain loyal or renew gold memberships-- I support this forum, with money, I feel I deserve a judgement on this case, at least some acknowledgement of my request. I have not been irresponsible or combative in this request, but feel that I am being treated as if my complain is a non-issue; If I made a mistake in thinking I had some right to complain about moderation, then I apologize, and would like public acknowledgement of this fact.

I accept whatever points I end up with, but , please please please; look at what I am saying, review my complaint, and tell me if I am being wrong here-- or tell me that the mod was wrong and punish him for abusing his power. as I was punished for having no power.

Patience. We (the mods) are discussing this but we need to give everyone time to give their opinion.
 
thank you very much, I was just really thinking I was about to be banned and I could do nothing to stop it-- so thank you very much for making me stop panicking-- appreciate you guys looking at this for me, if I am right or wrong, I just feel like it needs higher resolution.

You have my word it is being discussed. This is no guarantee anything is going to change but we don't ignore situations like this when brought up. You also don't need to worry about being banned as result of this particular issue as there is no reason to go beyond what has already been done.
 
The infraction has been reviewed and stands. If you can't articulate your points without attacking moderators over it, lurk more. Mods have a thankless job and don't need to be subjected to poor behavior. You've been warned in the past. You should learn from that.
