I made an account here because I cant seem to find a thread with what is happening to me anywhere I search. I've tried wording if different ways and still nothing.
I have a kizer t1 I just got from bladehq Thursday. Anytime I don't have the pivot tightened as tight as it will go the blade jiggles around a lot when it's not in the locked open position. All my other knives have a little bit of room where I can adjust the pivot a little to get a better closing action. With this one the pivot needs to be cranked as tight as possible and if I even back it off the tiniest little turn the blade moves. It has no blade play when it's locked open, only after I unlock the knife and it gets passed the detent to close. It's at the point where I can shake the knife while holding the handle and you can hear and feel the blade shaking back and forth.
Does anyone know what would make it do that? It just seems weird there is no blade play when it's locked open but as soon as I clear the detent ball it moves around like that. It makes it so I have to have the knife with the action so stiff I can barely shake it closed if I try. I have to actually push the blade to get it to go down at all.

I put paragraphs in there I swear. I have no idea why it bunched up. I'm sorry y'all.

If you have a good torx set I'd suggest taking it apart, cleaning and lubricating. When a blade is locked open, there is less side to side play because the lock is stabilizing the blade.

I have a T1 coming next week. I'll let you know if I have the same issue. Hopefully the cleaning recommendation works for you.

I will give it a try. I just don't understand why it's doing it. It goes from the stiffest action imaginable to jiggling around with the tiniest movement of the pivot. At 100% tightness there is no movement at 99% tightness it's rattling around in the handle.

Don't be afraid to reach out to Kizer customer service. They are very responsive.
