Another mushy Gus post.
Even after all these years every once in a while something happens to re-enforce the title of this thread.
Ya see a knife that you have very little if any chance of getting (it just will not be made again and there is only a handfull out there.)
The maker - a friend shows one to you and you go nuts. He is keeping his.
Years go by, you hear from a friend who decides to sell his. He heard you were interested from the maker.
Your dream to own the knife comes true. The knife becomes more than an object. It will always remind you of friends.
The point: if you are in this business, hobby, pastime and are not making close friends you are missing the most enjoyable part.
