Well, I am kind of a noob in the Busse world. Had a couple pass through my hands, but I am definitely not up to date with all the acronyms (I am learning though!). Was browsing through craigslist and saw "Busse" pop up, was curious so clicked it. Came home with this today! How'd I do? I know they aren't super common, and it is a cool little hatchet!

Couple small little dings on the blade as you can see in this picture, but other than that it is in great shape!

Thanks for looking!

Outstanding ! I have compleatly fallin for Paul's hatchets and ratchets! That's great craigslist score indeed! I can't wait for my 2nd ratchet and 1st Paul's hatchet just gotta get the cash togeather! But man that sure is pretty all shiny like that! Congrats man! Great score! Really jelouse here!

I wonder if that is one of the six from the one blade show? Is there anyway to tell since its been stripped? I'm going just based off the grips and what I've seen, but I could be way off!

First time that I really stop and look at one. Seems like it could be used for a wider variety of tasks than a common ax / hatchet. The finger choil is nicely placed for other tasks than chopping.... Very interesting.... Great score:thumbup:

Beats me if it's from then haha. I could try and find out? as far as I know it isn't stripped, it came that way originally?

Yeah it could definitely be used as a knife substitute. Or would pair great with a small fine blade I think!

Awesome! I have always wondered if these were designed as woods tools or meat clevers, anyone know?

Agh,, why!!!!!! Just when I think my wish list of Busse is full enough and attainable,, I see something like this.
Do you really NEED both kidneys? Maybe I can go sell one across the border...

IIRC, Jerry designed it for his father, Paul.

That one does not looked like it was stripped, the flats look like factory grind marks.

Thanks for all the help and insight! Trying to figure out what I'm going to do for a sheath.

I'm 2004 ganza they offered a double cut version and 2001 offered a limited edition version I have never see these but maybe it will help you narrow down your search.

Great score !!! Congrats !
Plenty of great sheath makers here for sure, I'll bet one of them has a pattern kicking around for it.
