Ladies and gentlemen, the BK2 has arrived!!

ry%3D400

From left to right is Lucille, Chip, and Essie May.

The grip and feel in hand is definitely better with the BK2. I like the kydex that comes with the Esee, but for nearly 1/3 of the price the BK2 is clearly the best choice. And my new EDC. For about the same price of the ESEE, I got the BK2, and some custom made wooden scales. cant beat that with a stick!

Nice piece of steel, wish I had one of thOH WAIT I do. Sweet! :)

But you can certainly beat that stick with that BK2. Have at it!

which one is the bk2 again?

enjoy it!

Holy cr*p, I'm still waiting for mine. Been 4 1/2 weeks now.

Congrats on the great purchase!

ESEE and Rowen make some damn good knives, of that there is no doubt, but the ESEE 5 was designed by SERE instructors, and has a purpose in mind behind the design. Jeff has more than once said the ESEE5 is not worth a damn as a woodland knife. I think that it can be, but the edge needs to be convexed, IMO.

Now, the BK2 was designed to be an all around universal, do all go anywhere kind of knife, and the balance between the two blades will tell you that tale. They are cut from 1/4" stock, but that is about all they have in common. I prefer my BK2, but I do have ESEE5's, two of them. And I like them too.

Yeah, as backwards as it sounds (because of cost) I think I would be more likely to use my Esee for mission work, i.e prying, digging, chiseling, things a knife isnt made to do, because I know it was made for it. My dad always taught me, there is always the perfect tool for every job, and every tool has a specific and different purpose. Use a tool for something other than its made for and it will destroy it or hurt you.

Same here - I'm waiting for 2 1/2 weeks now . It is probably in the dirty hands of an evil customs clerk , and will never see daylight again .

I got the Esee 5 and the BK2 and they are both excellent knives, just wondering what your thoughts are...

The Esee 6 is also one hell of a good knife....

OH MY GOD! I'd seriously cry if it disappeared somewhere along the way.

I will just have to take your word on the ESEE 6. All my play money is gone til next month, plus I just found out my debit card info got highjacked. So now I'm living off a credit card for 2-3 weeks waiting for my wife to send my new debit card to here.

Give me a month and I will write a review on both!
