Today My new Family member came in the Mail I'am doing the Happy Dance

The lite is my new favorite tool. Best sheath mod is to buy a replacement for the condor el Salvador

nice! an esee-5/6 molle back is a good mod to the sheath. both texastonydobbs and myself made that mod. it's crazy expensive though for what i'm using it for i hope esee will produce an optional kydex sheath for it. i would've rather paid $50 for that than the molle back which makes the stock sheath usable.

A kydex sheath would be the heat. An ambi kydex sheath would be even better

Nice, really like my Lite. I think Diz has the right idea, I'd pick up a Condor sheath for $15-20 probably.

Or, a loop of shock cord from the belt loop over the pommel to secure it. As Jeff said, the sheath was pretty much just intended to be a blade cover without increasing the price of the machete too much. When I had my lashed to the side of my pack, I could turn the pack upside down without it falling out just as the sheath came.

I am works great boss 5/6 Molle back

no sharp edge is exposed while retainer strap is snapped... less than 1" travel if forced but only blunt edge can be exposed
