IT CAME!!! My first INFI and the HOG that made it happen

It is one thing to read about the HOG family, but it's even better to experience it. After stumbling into the Busse forum a while back, lurking around and reading a lot, I decided I really needed to taste the INFI for myself. So, my first post was less than a week ago and I asked for opinions on whether to grab a GW or wait for a Badger. Following sage advice I decided I would order a Badger and keep my eyes open in hopes that I might find a reasonably priced GW in between now and the time it arrived. Sounded like a good plan. What I didn't expect was to find a PM from Jimmy Jones offering to sell me an 'extra' Black Micarta GW at original price!!! A couple PMs and a PayPal payment later, and today the mailman made me a proud new daddy. Is it okay that I was as giddy as a school-girl at the anticipation of opening the box??? My wife wondered what KIND of knife I'd get so excited about. And it is honestly way more than I imagined it would be. I had to hold it to understand, but the weight, the blade, the ergos......it SCREAMS to be used. I can't stop holding it--it just feels so right!! I realize I have willfully subjected myself to HOGfluenza, but with guys like Jimmy Jones around it's one sickness I'm glad to be a part of. So, here's a huge Thank You to Jimmy for going out of his way to help a new guy get his first Busse--without profiting personally. That seems to be a perfect representation of what this community is all about! I look forward to the day when I can help a HOG find something they're looking for:thumbup:

glad you like the knife, it'll give you something to play with till the Badger arrives, but you'll probably have another Busse before that happens :eek:;)

ok lazlo.... here is the secret, all the single guys ion this forum get to spend all of thier bar money on infi, all the married with children guys tell the wife they are buying infi as a clollege fund for the kids..... this allows all the infi you can store away..... i just dont know what i am gonna do in 16 years.....lol

I remember your thread. Yep, the GW was my gateway also. Good decision on getting the GW now and ordering the Badger. You asked and that is what most all suggested. Smart of you to listen I think.

Congrats !!!! on your first Busse:thumbup: . Bet the will be more before you see the badger though.

Congrats! We have some great people here, and we obviously have some great blades. I've found that we have some very exceptional people here. I won't pirate your thread with all the names of these people who have given and offered great deals, trades and even words of encouragement since I've been here. But the list is long. Hope you stick around, and as said before, cute kids!
