Love the wood scales Bryan. Pit I would like to know your thoughts on the design ?
I just had to do a picture with your Kephart ,Bryan.
I like the grip and the way it throws a spark. Not sure about the file work on top
But that is just me.It really is a way cool Knife Pit and Bryan .Thanks for letting me play.

love it....i am really feeling the wooden handles.... i would love to have one with a horizontal leather sheath

Cooooooooooooooool lol. Great pics Jeff.
Did you cut yourself already with that knife?

yea I did the thumb notches for fun. I like them but I know some do not.
I really like the handle scales, that bent grain in the wood just spoke to me lol.
I also left a little bit more metal behind the edge. What do you think of that part? it is not as scary sharp as when I sent your kephart knife to you.
What do you think of the choil? I thought I should have made it just a tad bigger. I might still do that lol.

Anyways, have fun and give it a good work out.

Yea it got me .LOL Thanks goodness for ban-aids. The
bent grain is way cool on these scale. I mean just in the right place too.The metal behind the edge is not a problem at all. This blade is thicker than the Kephart
but I really like the 5" length. Yes, the choil can be just a little bit larger and then the grip will fit my hand . I think you should do that .I also think it would feel just as cool if the blade was thinner, like the kephart. I would feel this grip and then feel the kephart.I like them both Bryan. You and the Pit did good. Thanks for letting
me play.
Jeff

Fantastic knife!!! Excellent design Pitdog and sublime execution Bryan. It could be ever so slightly improved.

It could be in MY backpack!!!! :p

It looks great, but one question on the design: what is that hole besides the choil for? any practical use for it?
Awesome knife, soooo jealous right now.

Good looking blade, and some wooden handle scales I don't actually mind.

Thanks Jeff, yea when I get it back I will make the choil just a tad bigger.
I will thin the edge some too.

Thanks for the kind words guys.

The design I sent Bryan was for the 7" bladed knife he is making me. Bryan figured a 5" of similar style would work well and just rolled with it, looks like he was right !
Regarding the filework my design only has it on the slant toward the blade.

Thanks for your reply Pit. I bet the 7" will work equally good for you as well . This is one tough knife.
Jeff

LOL when I printed out the design you sent. I took a ruler and measured the blade and instead of being 7" is was 5".
i thought it looked cool as a 5" too so I decided to make one from that print out.

Bryan

That looks sweet ! I agree...it would look awsome in a Horizontal small of the back style leather sheath !

Looks good to me just the way it is. Nicely done Bryan, Great Design Pitdog.
Leather sheath works for me. possibly with a pouch for a DC-3 or an E-Z Lapp 26f 1x3 fine Diamond stone.

Hi all,

Thanks, you guys, I am glad to hear you like the design.
Yea, I could see this design being carried in a horizontal carry. Maybe i will make a sheath like that when I get it back in 2 maybe 3 years ;) lol. I know Jeff will really give that knife some testing.

Bryan

Yea, I am just about finished testing it Bryan. Will send it to you Wednesday .
