Hello all. I am glad to report that I am back among the Hinderer Herd. A little back story first. I originally had an XM-18 3.5 Spanto, flipper. I carried it for a bit, but just couldn't love it. For whatever reason we just didn't click. Like taking out a super pretty lady, and finding out you have nothing in common. I sold my XM-18 and purchased the XM-24 Slicer, flipper. That knife was fabulous. I loved it and carried it often. As happens to many of us, another knife came up and I foolishly sold my XM-24. Almost as soon as I sent the buyer his package I regretted it. That is one of the very few knives I ever regretted selling.
Fast forward to Christmas night. I'm cruising the exchange ads and I see "IT". A sterile blade XM-18 3.5 inch slicer/flipper in Duratech 20V. I REALLY liked everything about it. A great EDC size, my favorite grind, the slicer, a flipper, and the super deal maker, 20V steel. I made an offer, he accepted, payment sent, knife sent. Perfect transaction.
I got the knife today. Smooth as butter opening. Strong detent. Decently sharp. I just LOVE the Hinderer XM line. I have many mid to high end folders, including a Jeremy Robertson El Patron flipper, but the XM's are super. I WON'T make the mistake of selling this one. It is possibly my perfect EDC. Thanks for reading the ramblings of a fanboy.
