Well day started out normal...wake up from sleeping after Graveyard shift. Eat a quick snack grab my TC forum knife throw it in my coaching shorts pocket and off I go to practice. The team is having a great practice. After practice while getting in my truck I do the ol check your pockets to make sure my knife is still there...BAM it's gone!!! I go and search the field, and the coaches office not there...search the truck, no luck...man this sucks! I will do another comb through tomorrow. And to think, I almost left it in the truck before. Stupid me!!!

R u sure it made it to the field? I temporarily lost a 57 wharny whittler a couple of winters back. Thought I dropped it in the snow. I found it way back under my truck seat, up against the console. It slid out of my pocket while shifting gears. Check there.

Oh, no!! :( That's WAY less than ideal, tmd!
I hope it turns up tomorrow!

Oh...man! I’m sure you have already, but retrace your steps. Sounds like you were rushing?

Ya I'm pretty sure it made it on the field. I carry a kids inhaler and I put it in the same pocket so I think I just thought it was there but it was the weight of the inhaler. Good news is it's a turf field and they don't have to water it. Hopefully nobody finds it, if it's on the field. And if they do hopefully they treat it good...

Ya I was rushing, had to go run and get dinner. Good thing is some of the players know I carry it. Hopefully one of them grabbed it if they saw and it will be safe...I'm gonna look in my truck better tonight before I have to go into work.

I'm sorry to hear this. Do you stretch with the team? If so, that location is where I'd start looking. I've had my inhaler fall out of my shorts pocket several times while stretching - never a knife though.

Good luck sir!

Man that sucks and I hope you find it. But unless you're in and out of your pockets at practice I would bet it's in that vehicle. A car can make a knife disappear fast. I lost a BM grip for a few months and searched that truck like crazy numerous times. And then one day I was at the car was and moved the seat to vacuum and there it was. And I know I moved the seat like I said a few times looking for it. Walk the feild and look but check you vehicle a few more times.

One of the enemies is the kind of pants in which the bottom of the pockets are sewn to the pants legs. When you sit, especially on something low where your knees are higher than your butt, your knives, keys, etc slide right out.

My bib overalls are like that-yes, I wear overalls sometimes! - I sat on the stump of an ash I'd just felled. A bit later, I needed my knife and got that sinking feeling. Luckily, I remembered sitting down and found it.

Here's hoping you find your friend.

Well that sucks. Nice new forum knife, too. :( Hopefully it will turn up soon. Most (but not all) of the knives I regularly carry are not unique and are easily replaced. Still, I won't give up on one that goes missing until I find it. Turned the house upside down looking for a $10 Rough Rider. My wife asked if I had checked the washer front door gasket - and there it was. Nice and clean, too.

Tore my truck apart. Lifting up mats and under everything...I have a thought it's spending the night on the field. Unless someone found it.
