My wife (she's pretty awesome) got me a smooth natural bone 2005 xx image case for valentines day, i finally found a case canoe in cv, and my boss decided to pick me up a case peanut in stag, because he said he is grateful for my help, he's a fellow knife nut. 3 new knives in a week!!! i'll try to get some pictures up later tonight or tomorrow, the wife has the camera with her. i was just about to bust over my new knives this week and wanted to share it with the rest of the knife nuts.

thanks
sam

Sound like a good week indeed.

Looking forward to your pics.

Which Image XX did your wife get you? I was checking out a Trapper with a pheasant on it last weekend at a flea market but I passed on it. Kinda wish I would have gotten it now.

well i don't guess i actually said did i, it's a medium stockman, and it's just the plain smooth natural bone, with the "xx" shield, a really beautiful knife and it had been in the store she bought it in since new, so i'm the first owner. i guess she does pay attention to what i put in my pocket every day haha, i have more medium stockman pattern knives than anything, the peanuts and sodbusters are close seconds tho. i just love traditional knives, they are amazing.

thanks

Sam, I'm gonna bet you're going to love the peanut. Once you get over the small size, it's a very good cutter that disappears in a pocket.

Carl.

I bought several knives this week. Some good, some not so good. Some new, some old.
Three peanuts - Steel Warrior ram's horn - knife okay, scales too fat; Case burnt white bone peanut - perfect; Bulldog stag peanut, knife not great, scales too fat.
One Imperial medium jack - used and abused with a bent tip on the main clip, otherwise okay
One Kabar larger jack - both blades uglied up with a grinder, don't know if the blade heat treat is damaged, but blades were full and reasonably sharp. Working on the blades to clean them up. Should be okay.
Two Buck yellow 302 single blade stockman knives - both fine.
One Canal Street half moon trapper. Soft spring, but a beautiful knife.

A mixed bag, but a surprisingly small outlay of cash. All in all a good week for me too.

Carl, i already love the peanuts, i have one in chestnut bone, it slides in my watch pocket very nicely, it just goes in and is forgotten until i need it, i love it, i have to get more of them.

ed, sounds like you made out good this week too, i love the yellow scaled bucks, and hearing that you just got some makes me want to order one up.

i'll take pictures tonight when the wife comes home with the camera.

thanks
sam

That a nice little family there. I'm sure you are going to be happy with them; they look great. - Ed

thanks ed, i love the little peanut, it seems like the only time it's actually in my pocket is the moments when i need it, and i love the stag, you can pick up ten different stag scaled knives and they will each be vastly different from the next, while all still maintaining a great level or character.

thanks
sam
