It has been said Loveless knives are not loveless.

This Schrade Loveless sold for $670 and it looks like there were buyers willing to pay Top $$$$ for it.

Hey there Ken. I was watching this one closely and it actually went for $760USD. This one has a cool story and is truly outstanding though and probably is worth what was paid. If I had the coin I would have grabbed it in a heartbeat. I don't think folks paid for the "Schrade" or the "Loveless" although this Westinghouse (?) micarta handled RL-2(?) is a fine knife in it's own right.

Folks paid for the "Shaw Leibowitz" work and the fact this one is the artist's Proof as in the first one made. I don't know how many were produced in all. This knife was the "Cover Girl" on the National Knife Collector Magazine from April/May 1977. Whether or not the one on the cover is this exact knife that was just sold I can't say for sure but it may very well be. It features great scrimshaw work on the handle and awesome engraving work on the blade. Sweeeeeeet!

Since this is such an outstanding knife I will post the pics from the listing for posterity. Anyone here grab this beauty? Anyone have it's brother?
