I got my 25 today and I am certainly impressed. Everything I wanted/expected it to be. Craftsmanship, fit & finish, and tolerances are all world class as one would expect. It came very sharp. When I was cutting some paper to check sharpness I cut some paper with my Large Insingo as well. Happy to report my Insingo (which I touched up recently) is just as sharp and maybe even a little sharper than the new 25. Maybe my sharpening skills are actually improving! It appears the lock up on the 25 is a little later or maybe the thicker blade makes look that way. Have other's noticed later lock up on the 25? No issue for me because the lock up is rock solid.

Very happy Friday for me. Tomorrow I will be looking for stuff to do that will allow me to start using this excellent tool. I wanted to tell y'all because around here people will say it is "just like the other knife".

Maybe a Mnandi next....

I think it is hilarious when people say "it is just a knife or what is so good about that knife" Favorite, "Why would you spend that much on just a knife?" Sorry that really goes in anther thread but it cracks me up every time. That seems like a great way for you to end the week. Congrats and hope you continue to enjoy.

Owning a CRK I can say it's just a knife and at the end of the day it does just cut. I wouldn't sell my collection for any crk. Yes they have nice fit and finish and they're smooth, but I don't think it's the end all knife. Back on topic, congrats on your 25. I love my 21, but I think the 25 is better in some ways and not in others. Post pics'!

Awesome man! I totally get what you mean. If someone wants to know something about my 25 they are always shocked at the price. I guess we were all in those shoes at some point.

As for the lock-up. Remember that it's the ceramic ball that is resting against the tang (like you could forget...) and that the actual point of contact is further over than it may appear. ;)

I was not initially impressed, but I must say it grew on me and now the 25 is one of my favorites after carrying it and giving it chance.
