It Is All Clear To Me Now...

I just took delivery of my first Chris Reeve knife (A large Inkosi), and I now understand why folks talk about the quality of the beauties.
It feels about as solid as a Brinks truck. There's no doubt it's built to put in a full day's worth of work.
At the same time: the action of the knife works as smoothly as soft butter on bread.... I guess it sort of reminds me of a bank vault door closing. You know there's a lot of weight moving: but it does it in an eerily smooth manner.
So now that I'm hooked: I can't wait for the next CRK box to show up!

Yeah the design and tight manufacturing tolerances on the Inkosi pivot makes for a unique experience. I don’t know how useful or necessary it is, but I certainly appreciate it.

I have a few dozen folders I carry and use, and am a hobby maker that likes the precise fit n finish.
I have a Sebenza 21 classic, whilst it is not the best at anything, it is very good at everything. It is the knife I carry when an Opinel might be too thin and soft, my Lionsteel SR1A is too thick and clunky.
It is intuitive, simple easy to clean, doesn't look flashy or scary. If I had to have just one single blade folder it would be my Sebenza.

Such a great analogy. Competely agree!!!! What’s incredible is my small Sebenza has that same amazing bank vault feeling as my large Inkosi.

I’m in the same boat as you! Loving this new inkosi, also my first CRK.

I tend to baby most of my knives and only use a couple cheaper ones for any serious use. This inkosi is just begging me to use it. The glassy action is so satisfying too. Already wearing a bit blue off the thumstud and I’ve only had it a few days, haha.

I discovered the Sebenza in 2021 and have standardized around this model. Nothing else competes with this combination of cutting geometry, sharpening longevity and user serviceability. It's all clear to me now. Sebenza. It's how I roll.

Why doesn't someone stop me? Please don't tell my wife I asked that.
