It`s Time For Some Changes

I`ve been thinking (for about the last year), that it`s time to make some changes. I`ll be 60 next month, and I`ve realized that I have more guns and knives that I will ever have time to use, so I`ve been downsizing. I`ve been selling or giving away knives, and so far, have sold my 10-22, and gave my Taurus 85 to Angie, my S&W Model 29 4" to Mark, my Springfield XD 9 Tactical to Dave, my S&W Model 15 .38 to Becky, and my S&W Airweight .38 to Alison. All I plan on keeping, are the five I shoot very well, and the couple of my Dad`s for sentimental reasons. I figure why keep what I don`t use, I`m not getting any younger!

Smart move - downsize now and gift your loved ones while you're still there to share the fun with 'em (and hopefully will for many years to come!)

Don't get rid of that 629 3" yet. I got an old chunk of leather in the shop that's are ready been stitched for it :D

I`m keeping the 3", I gave the 4" away! Looking forward to that big chunk of leather.

I was just messing with you. I got your holster cut and stitched last night and put a nice piece of elephant trim on it.

I have a few guns and knives I hope to pass on to my boys one day.

Many times I think about having more knives and guns than I need but I can't make myself get rid of them. I guess my son will get them all someday. My father gave up hunting several years ago and gave me an old 32-20 Marlin that I will treasure forever. I'm sure your gifts mean as much to your family.

Any more knives you would like to dispense with, just let us see um. I also wonder what is too many and what ones do I rotate to the most.

I thought I had too many guns once then realized my problem was my safe was too small

I like your outlook on this!:D

John, sounds like a tough thing to do but since the guns are going to family it probably makes it bitter sweet. Congrats on the new found outlook.
