I think I figured out my perfect selection of knives to be my main users. The BWMLE, Machete, Orca, Axe (pictured below:D)

A couple more of my old dive knife.

I plan to use the BWMLE for almost everything (I will make one a user:p), the Machete for well you know, machete stuff:eek:, the Orca for kick it into the coral bottom in saltwater and anchor your ocean kayaks to it:foot: and of coarse the axe for splittin' wood in a hurry:cool:.

I know, all four options are not Busse, but without the BWMLE my group would have a large void.

Sorry for the random ranting:D

Am I the only one that thinks like this?? I am sure most on here have an all Busse line up. I guess I am saying these are my favorites (today)

Post your favorite Busse's if you feel so inclined

My CGFBM and BATAC make up the core, but I am trying to nail down a folder, small fixed and tomahawk/hatchet. The small fixed is most likely a Fiddleback Bushie and the folder is looking more and more like a ZT350.

Cool stuff guys.
For a Dive/Survival knife, it's a Beta-Titanium Mission knife for me.
The rest... Busse.

Uncle, that Orca is no joke. With all these busse swords on my mind it looks like my machete might get knocked out of the group:)

Yeah, if you can get your hands on a Ruck I think you might forget all about a machete. ;)

Both of my Rucks are 23.25" OAL with a 15" blade that's around .187" thick. My AK is 29"long with a 18" blade the same thickness. AFAIK all Rucks are the same length.

The AK is definitely a two-handed blade, meaning you really can't swing it one-handed very easily. The Ruck is perfect with one hand, so if you are looking for something like a machete, I would recommend the Ruck.

It's just a little too much weight to try and swing with one hand. You can do it but the extra handle length tends to get in the way and the blade is really long. The Ruck is a great Machete substitute.

Thanks Cosa!

I was thinking maybe the long handle had something to do with it. Thanks for the input Oeser. Always very helpful!

Sweet set up. For myself I have my BWM as my longer blade. I have a GF small forest axe to supplement if I plan on doing a lot of chopping. When I go camping I tend to just need to split stuff and I find the BWM can do both in a pinch and is easier to tote around on my bag.

For day to day edc, I carry a folder (usually my sebenza, but it varies) and on weekends I carry a small fixed blade. Generally my fiddleback lady finger and will be carrying my active duty once I get my sheath for it.

I also have a BATAC which is a great one blade suits all type knife. I like it a lot but it doesnt get much use as I find a smaller blade more useful overall for me.

The Ruck is a great Machete substitute.

I love my Ruck, but it is not quite equal to a machete for use on light whippy material. The grind profile is much thicker than a 1/8" thin machete. The Ruck is great on heavier branches and saplings.

I hear lots of good things about the BATAC, I don't have one myself:eek:

Also good to know, thanks Guy:)

Thanks for the pic and i will take the free BATAC:) It looks similar to a TB. Anyone have a comparison of the two?

This is true. Perhaps I should restate that and say it is the closest thing Busse has to a long machete substitute:D.
