It's gone...I simply have to face it now. I have looked high and low...near and far..to no avail. My trusted Sebenza is lost. I bought it new about 5 years ago...maybe a bit longer...it has ridden with me through thick and thin. It has gone on duty with me on many midnight shifts that I can't even remember. It never failed me when I needed it. Easy to sharpen...smooth as butter to open...a snap to clean.

It hit me the other night when I got home from a midnight shift along the Colorado River...crawling through the tall brush must have snagged the clip and pulled it from my pocket...I tried to retrace my steps...but the brush is too thick down there. That knife NEVER gave me cause to cuss it. I cut many a make shift raft with it. It will be missed!

Treasure your Sebenzas....mine was a good friend for years.

May it be in your car/truck stuck in the seat.... if not farewell to a loyal companion..... my sympathies

Hope you find it in you car man, an old knife is like a best friend. A new one will be nice, but knives only get better with age.;)

That's tough to hear bpman. I just got my small about a week ago and really enjoy it. I feel like it will be with me for a long time and still perform like new. I am sure that's how you felt about your Sebie.

I take it you had the older clip on yours since it was a few years old? Does anyone know if the new clip performs better in situations like crawling around? I always worry about mine working loose.

I lost my Maple Leaf Umfaan today. Like an idiot I carried it in the medium sized William Henry Clip Case to be "discreet". I didn't notice it was missing until I got home from work.

Well, I tore back to work, worrying all the way. I had already asked a friend at work to look for it near my desk - no dice. My first stop was the rather large parking lot I park in. I drove straight to the space I had parked in today and saw it, lying decorated side down. It had been laying there for about 1.25 hours by that time. Fortunately, no one had noticed it. It is not marked up at all (it did scold me for not using my G2 case though!).

The empty feeling I had during that one hour plus was horrible. I do hope your Sebenza turns up. Get the dogs out and keep looking!!!

I've had the misforture of having several of the little buggers slip out of my pocket. I know this is no surprise to anyone but since I started clipping them inside my waistband I haven't lost one knife over the past five yrs.

Tough blow :(

One reason why I always carry mine in a belt sheath - I'd worry too much about losing it otherwise.

It is just this kind of emotional outpouring by so many fourmites that has convinced me to finally adopt a Sebenza from CRK. I contacted them today via email with some initial questions, and expect to place an order sometime next week.

Thank you bpman for not being afraid to cry! ;)

I was thinking about a leather belt sheath for my small wood Damascus or this G2? Any pics or suggestions?

Thanks!
