It was a real weekend for old school knives at the Mt. Vernon, IL. knife show this weekend. I picked up a few nice traditionals.
First up is a Queen #49 Carved Stag bone Cattle King.
And a Schrade 881Y, real sweet like new, doesn't appear to have been sharpened or carried.
In a box on one dealers table, I found this Imperial Ireland Stockman, jigged delrin and in great condition. Has some age spots but the blades appear untouched and it was a whole $4.00!
A 1990 Buck 301 with brown jigged bone scales.
A Buck 112 with engraved nickel silver bolsters
And cool little fixed blade from Zlatoust, Russia from ROSarms, the literature says they make knives from discarded ball bearings and mostly use Birch for handles.
This one is called the "Fellow Traveler" model and is sort of an EDC utility knife. Quality seems high and it had a decent edge on it and I stropped it on some charged leather and now it is a hair popper. Very light also, remind me of some Scandinavian knives.
