It was an honor

One of my son's friends is a soldier who has been to both Iraq and Afganistan. My son brought home his Super SOG Bowie for me to sharpen. This is the personal knife that he carried to both wars.

I felt a real honor to be allowed to sharpen this knive. It took a bit of work to reprofile the edge and take out a couple of tiny nicks, but nothing unusual. It's a beautiful knife. SOG did a great job on this one. And, thankfully, I didn't screw it up. :)

I couldn't have done it properly without the tips and information that I learned here.

THANKS GUYS!

Allen

A knife like that is so much cooler and more meaningful than the average knife. Maybe post a pic if you still have it.
