It Was Bound To Happen

I finally have a PM2 on the way. Camo and satin. I had handled one several months ago and was rather underwhelmed. I figured I needed to try one as an edc to really decide for myself. Plus I need to convince myself to get a Para 3. Plus I saw that AWT now makes scales. Plus..... You get the point. Anyone have the AWT scales? Pictures?

Sorry, I don't have those scales. But I can tell you that the PM2 is a great knife. I find that the blade geometry makes it just about perfect as a work knife.

Congrats on the Pm2. I totally get the feeling of the PM2 being underwhelming; I had owned a couple before getting the one I have now. The trend in folders today is to be overbuilt. If something is heavy you generally think that it is more durable than something that isn't. Some car companies purposefully make their car doors heavier so that the vehicle feels like it's made better.

The Pm2 does not feel like it will hold up when you get it. It's light for it's size and the dang knife feels really balanced in hand. Also Spyderco skeletonized the liners and nested them into the G10 so the knife feels thinner. Compared to the current trend the Para doesn't seem as solid but it really is.

The Pm2 once broken in will cut well, carry well, and stand up to any knife task that you put a knife up to. It is a really well made folder and I enjoy carrying mine daily.

It is a great knife. I have one in S110V, I gave my other one away to a friend in need.

I was pretty underwhelmed by the PM2 aesthetically at first. Finally decided to order one and definitely understood the hype.

BUT, after changing jobs and starting work in a distillery where I use my PM2 ALL the time I've really come to understand how much this knife excels when you really put it through its paces. It has held up incredibly well, easy to maintain and so insanely functional. A knife that gets better the more you use it!

I remember you telling me this; the PM2 just gets better with age.
