Yesterday, and i got a sharpmaker, finally. that thing is amazing! You should go get one. I've run out of things to sharpen already! my hands are black with steel dust...
And I'm going to get my new Gunting today or tomorrow...
And none of you sent me Jack!

happy birthday! so, how easy is the Sharpmaker? i want one, but i just have a bad feeling i'll end up making all of my knives ugly.

It's ridiculously easy to use. watch the video, its 30 minutes or so long, and all of your questions will be answered. I'd say that it took me 45 minutes to sharpen:gardening shears, 5 folders, 2 henckels kichen knives, scissors, and dog-nail clippers.--Joe

Yeah, Happy Birthday doOD !
At some point you may want to pick up the ultra fine stones for that final edge, and the Diamond sleeves for re-profiling work. I don't have the diamonds yet but I hear they last a long time & make short work of reprofiling.
 
WHAT!!! You didn't get the present I sent?? It was the same thing I sent last year........only a different color.:eek: :( :D :)

The Sharpmaker is the only way to go!
