It was my honor to meet them

Hello all,

Last week I traveled to Colorado to attend the retirement of my older brother from the Army. He is a good man and a role model for me, whose career would fill several novels. While there, I met one of the men who received a khukuri donated by the HI forumites early last year. Some of you may remember the email from this gentleman that I posted last summer. Let me tell you, the US is well represented by such soldiers, whose education, bearing and personal manner resonate very well with this old non-com. In fact, every one of the men and women I met have just recently returned from a year in Iraq and without exception, embody what we think of when somebody says the word "Patriot."

I've served on active and Reserve duty for 29 years and met many fine people during that time. This note is just to (once again) thank you guys who sent me those khuks to pass on to our troops and to let you know about at least one of the recipients. You may trust me when I say that in the hands of such men, our nation is secure, our principles uncompromised and our future very bright.

Respectfully
Stephen Hamilton
