Italian balisong w/ micarta

It doesn't look like the pins are flush....I also notice that the tang pin doesn't engage both handles in their respective pockets, there's no kick on the blade and the handles already touch when in the open position. Either this is a well used bali or a POS, IMHO.....My $.02's, for what ever it's worth.

Yes yes, Dawkind. I see what you mean. I don't know why I didn't pick up on that initially. Maybe I just got exited because I thought I found something new. Oh well.

Hey, I have one of those, and just as Dawkind said, it's kind of a POS. It does look nice, but as far as a good usable bali, I would look elswhere.
There is no kick on the blade, so it mars the inside on both handles, and is starting to flatten the blade right in the center.
The pins are raised and rounded, and mine even came with factory toolmarks on the handle.

The tang pin pockets on the handles were factory ground too far, and a little unalligned to the pin.
the latch does lock up, but only because it's a little wider that the slot on the handle.
The brass-micarta transition is smooth, and the micarta bulges a little wider than the brass.
The handles are of brass round stock, about the size of a pencil, and it's easy for them to over-rotate in your hands.

I just bought one because I had seen them, and they looked pretty sleek, but now it just sits in my case.
If you want, email me. and I'll give you a discount price.

Hey I have one like that. They are right it's not really a usable Bali but it looks nice and is super light. I put a peice of cardboard inside the handles so the blade would mar the inside and lose it's edge so quickly. I would take my Jag over this one any day though.

I like the Italian Butterfly knives. Outside of the Philippines it's about the only decent looking butterfly knife available that is half way decently made.

But I suppose like people are saying, if you want something durable, you may want to look into getting a Taiwan made knife.

Still the Italian knife has a look and a feel of craftsmanship. It has a look like they are made by someone who has a little bit of passion for what they are doing. Thanks, JohnR7
