Italian Made Blades

So, I recently discovered there are many reputable knives made in Italy. I had heard of Extrema ratio a few years back and had always heard good things but recently discovered lion steel and saw the blades in the new folding HEST were Italian made also. Are there any other companies based in Italy or big name companies outsourcing production there?

Fox Cutlery made a folder and four fixed blades for Spyderco. Fit and finish are outstanding.

Well, my faith in Italian blades just went up. I know ESEE would never put their names on a shoddy product. I had always heard good things about Lion Steel but didn't know anything about them

I have an older Delta Z knife that has Italy on the tang. It's a very well made liner lock. The pivot is unique and requires the use of a special tool that came with the knife. I have no idea what factory it came from but it uses a Sandvik steel. I had never even heard of any of the Swede steels at the time (2001?) I purchased the knife but now I own many with that steel type.

Wife bought me a Gentleman's Pen Knife by Maserin, made in Maniago Italy. The quality is outstanding.

Those are SHARP! Pun intended :D Seem like the perfect knife if you work in an office setting or don't have any grungy tasks on the horizon

Fox makes the Combative Edge M1 in N690Co in Italy. I'd say the steel compares favorably to VG10.

AG Russell's Italian Tactical knife I beleive is made by Fox cutlery, and I've heard nothing but good things about it.
It's actually on my (tragically long) list of knives to buy soon..

The Wilson Combat Delta Wave folder gets 5 stars from me.
This knife is the identical twin of Fox's Col. Moschin folder.

Ontario also has some Fox stuff like the Hossom Retribution and
XM-1/ XM2 folders.
