Itching to "Try It"
Just received my 36" curved Platen from Nathan the Machinist
Want to design a chopper that will take full advantage of these lovely curves and do an Almost to the spine grind on 3/16" material.

What width blade should I Use?
Anybody tried there's yet?

since you're already got the radius for your platen and you want to go almost to the spine, your maximum width will be dependent on the thickness of your stock. your extreme minimum width would be whatever you could get down to while still having a suitable total edge angle.

i would get a sheet of paper and start graphing.
